Cremation rituals held in "ghats" (cremation places) on the banks of
the Bagmati River near Pashupatinath, the most important Shiva
temple in Katmandu, Nepal. Hindues believe that they reach "nirvana"
when their cremains are scattered in the Bagmati River

In
the Island of Bali (Pacific Ocean) the cremation ritual involves placing the body, with gifts and personal belongings, in a pyre with
the shape of a bull. "The bull guides the soul to heaven".
